Madhya Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister, Rajendra Shukla, reiterated the government’s commitment to farmers, announcing the continuation of the ₹ 6000 annual honorarium under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. This assurance, termed “Modi’s Guarantee,” ensures sustained support for farmers over the next five years.

The Kisan Samman Nidhi initiative, aimed at providing financial assistance to small and marginal farmers, has been instrumental in alleviating agricultural distress and enhancing rural livelihoods. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive direct income support of ₹ 6000 annually, distributed in three installments.

Furthermore, Shukla’s characterization of the scheme as “Modi’s Guarantee” highlights the overarching commitment of the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to prioritize the welfare of farmers and empower rural India.

As agriculture remains the backbone of India’s economy, initiatives like the Kisan Samman Nidhi play a crucial role in enhancing farmers’ income, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and fostering rural development. The assurance of continued support reaffirms the government’s resolve to create a conducive environment for agricultural growth and prosperity.
