“Maidaan” is currently the top-performing film, surpassing “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” and new releases like “Do Aur Do Pyaar” and “LSD 2: Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2.” While day-wise numbers show improvement, the overall total remains modest.
The film is mainly collecting well in select urban centers, with mass pockets showing weak performance. However, the lack of prominent releases in the coming weeks may help “Maidaan” sustain its box office presence.
In its second week, “Maidaan” earned 1.51 crores on Friday, 2.83 crores on Saturday, and 3.15 crores on Sunday, totaling 35.79 crores in India.
During its first week, including previews and Eid, the film earned 28.30 crores. With an additional 7.49 crores in the second weekend, “Maidaan” now stands at a total of 35.79 crores at the box office.
Despite facing challenges, “Maidaan” continues to hold its ground, demonstrating steady performance amidst a competitive landscape.
