The cherished dance number ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Leke’ from the 2001 blockbuster ‘Gadar’ has been reborn in a rehashed version for the upcoming film ‘Gadar 2’. The rejuvenated rendition features the charismatic Sunny Deol reprising his legendary role as Tara Singh, alongside Ameesha Patel stepping back into the shoes of his beloved wife Sakina. Utkarsh Sharma takes on the role of their grown-up son Jeete, adding a fresh dynamic to the much-loved trio.
A Nostalgic Journey and a Twist of Romance
In the new video, Sunny Deol recreates his iconic hook step, accompanied by Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma. The scene begins with Jeete’s request for a motorbike, leading to a heartwarming moment where Sunny presents him with a new bike. Amid what appears to be a festive ambiance, the trio embarks on a joyous bike ride. Unexpectedly, Sunny breaks into the familiar ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Leke’ dance, much to Ameesha’s delightful surprise.
Rekindling Love Through Dance
Utkarsh Sharma’s character, Jeete, plays a pivotal role in reigniting the romance between his parents. A segment of the song depicts Jeete orchestrating a moment of intimacy as he dims the lights during a bonfire-lit gathering. Tara and Sakina’s endearing connection, reminiscent of the 2001 film, is beautifully rekindled. As the music takes over, Jeete enthusiastically joins in, encouraging his parents to join him on the dance floor.

Utkarsh Sharma takes the spotlight in the dance sequence, showcasing his adept dance skills. Ameesha Patel appears in an elegant pink sari adorned with intricate work and jewelry, while Sunny Deol dons a stylish brown chequered blazer, complemented by a mustard shirt and a maroon turban.
The original ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Leke’ was crafted by the legendary late lyricist Anand Bakshi & composed by Uttam Singh. For the rehashed version, the song has been recreated and rearranged by the talented Mithoon. The vocals are gracefully handled by the father-son duo Udit Narayan and Aditya Narayan, accompanied by Mithoon himself.
As ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Leke 2.0’ captures the essence of the past while infusing it with new energy, fans of the iconic ‘Gadar’ are in for a nostalgic treat. The dance number promises to not only reignite cherished memories but also create fresh moments of joy and celebration.
