Ministry of Education Grants ₹1.12 Crore for Enhanced Anganwadi Centers in 2023-24.

In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at revolutionizing primary education, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visionary “Building a Learning Aid” (BALA) policy is redefining the way children learn in schools. Embracing the concept of learning through play, this initiative seeks to create a dynamic and engaging educational environment, sparking the joy of learning from an early age.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the BALA policy has garnered significant support, with the Project Approval Board of the Ministry of Education allocating a substantial grant of ₹1.12 crore for the year 2023-24. This funding will enable the implementation of advanced features in 449 co-located Anganwadi centers across the state, further enriching the learning experiences of young minds.

“The heart of the BALA initiative lies in its innovative approach to education, leveraging games and interactive activities to instill knowledge and skills. By integrating playful learning methods into the curriculum, children are encouraged to explore, experiment, and collaborate, making the learning process more enjoyable and effective”.

In a bid to empower both children and their mothers, Mother Orientation Programs are set to kick off from August 28 to 31, with subsequent sessions planned for the last week of every month. These programs are designed to provide formal education not only to young learners but also to their mothers within Anganwadi centers. This holistic approach recognizes the pivotal role mothers play in a child’s development and aims to create a supportive learning ecosystem at home.

“The BALA initiative not only transforms classrooms but also nurtures a lifelong love for learning, setting the stage for a generation of curious and confident learners. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s foresight in promoting interactive learning experiences underscores his commitment to shaping a brighter and more prosperous future for the youth of Uttar Pradesh”.
