On the 13th of February PM Modi Inaugurates The 1st Phase Of The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
New Delhi, India – Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the first phase of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The 1,400 km long expressway, considered to be India’s longest expressway, promises to reduce the travel time between the two cities from over 12 hours to just about 8 hours.
The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, also known as the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, is a part of the government’s ambitious plan to modernize India’s transportation sector and provide faster and more efficient connectivity between major cities. The expressway will not only reduce travel time but will also provide a major boost to the country’s economic growth by facilitating faster transportation of goods and people.
In his address during the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the significance of the expressway in connecting two of the country’s major cities and bringing them closer. He also spoke about the various features of the expressway such as the integration of smart technology and green initiatives to make it a model of sustainable transportation.
“The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is a symbol of modern and efficient India. It will bring a new era of development and progress in the country,” said Modi.
The expressway has been built with advanced features such as smart and green technologies, state-of-the-art safety systems, and facilities for drivers such as rest areas, food courts, and petrol pumps. The expressway will also have a dedicated lane for emergency services such as ambulances and fire trucks, making it safer for travelers.
The first phase of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway spans from Delhi to Vadodara and is expected to significantly reduce the congestion on the existing highway, thereby reducing travel time and fuel consumption. The second phase of the project, which will connect Vadodara to Mumbai, is expected to be completed by 2025.
The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is a major milestone in the government’s efforts to modernize India’s transportation sector and provide faster and more efficient connectivity between major cities. The expressway is expected to have a positive impact on the country’s economic growth and will provide a faster and more convenient mode of transportation for travelers and goods.
