PM Modi Marks 11 Years of Infrastructure Growth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a significant milestone in India’s journey towards becoming a developed and self-reliant nation by commemorating 11 Years of Infrastructure Revolution. This transformative period has witnessed unprecedented progress in infrastructure development across the country, fundamentally reshaping India’s physical, economic, and social landscape.

In a series of posts responding to MyGovIndia on X, the Prime Minister lauded the evolution of India’s infrastructure over the past decade-plus. He emphasized that these transformative efforts—spanning railways, highways, ports, and airports—have not only propelled economic growth but have also significantly improved the Ease of Living for millions of citizens.

“Marking #11YearsOfInfraRevolution, India has seen remarkable infrastructure growth that has accelerated the nation’s development. From railways and highways to ports and airports, the expanding network is improving Ease of Living and driving prosperity,” wrote PM Modi.

Over the past 11 years, India has witnessed the launch and completion of mega infrastructure projects like the Bharatmala and Sagarmala initiatives, Dedicated Freight Corridors, smart city missions, regional airport developments under UDAN, and transformative modernization of metro and suburban railway systems. These projects are not only improving logistical efficiencies and reducing travel time but also generating millions of employment opportunities across sectors.

PM Modi further reiterated that the government‘s infrastructure strategy is guided by a futuristic and environmentally-conscious vision. The aim is to develop infrastructure that is sustainable, inclusive, and rooted in long-term national development goals.

“Driven by sustainability and a long-term vision, India’s pursuit of next-generation infrastructure is building the strong foundation of a self-reliant nation. #11YearsOfInfraRevolution,” he added.

The Prime Minister’s remarks reflect the broader vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India), where infrastructure serves as a key enabler of growth, equity, and innovation. From green energy corridors and digital infrastructure to highways built under the PM GatiShakti Master Plan, India’s developmental path is being paved by a strong foundation of modern, future-ready facilities.

As India continues to scale new heights in its development trajectory, the celebration of 11 years of infrastructure transformation is both a moment of reflection and renewed commitment—towards building a stronger, faster, and greener nation for the future.
