Stand-up comedian and reality TV star Munawar Faruqui, known for his stint on “Bigg Boss 17,” found himself in the spotlight once again after being detained during a raid at a hookah parlour in Mumbai. Alongside 13 others, Faruqui was apprehended by Mumbai Police for smoking hookahs at an illegally operated parlour in the city’s Fort area.
The raid resulted in the confiscation of ₹4,400 in cash and nine hookah pots valued at ₹13,500. This incident marks another instance of Faruqui making headlines, albeit for less favorable reasons, following his reality TV success.
Since his appearance on “Bigg Boss 17,” Faruqui has remained visible in public spheres, attending various events and gatherings. However, this recent run-in with the law has brought him back into public discourse, drawing attention to his involvement in the illicit activity at the hookah Parlour.
Mumbai Police’s action underscores their commitment to enforcing regulations and cracking down on illegal establishments. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to legal protocols and regulations, regardless of one’s status or fame.
