NADA Hosts “Road to Paris 2024” Conference, Promoting Clean Sports – Anurag Singh

Delhi: The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) organized the “Road to Paris 2024: Championing Clean Sports and Uniting for Anti-Doping” Conference, emphasizing India’s dedication to fostering clean sports and combating doping in athletics. Union Minister Shri Anurag Singh Thakur inaugurated the Centre of Excellence for Nutritional Supplements Testing (CoE-NSTS) at the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, virtually underscoring India’s commitment to upholding integrity in sports.

The event, held at the India International Centre in New Delhi, provided a crucial platform for stakeholders from the sporting community to collaborate, discuss, and strategize on key anti-doping initiatives ahead of the Paris Olympics 2024.

In his keynote address, Union Minister Shri Anurag Singh Thakur reiterated the principles of fair play, competition spirit, and the importance of maintaining integrity in sports. He commended Indian athletes for their dedication and resilience, emphasizing NADA’s pivotal role in strengthening the nation’s anti-doping framework.

Highlighting the significance of the CoE-NSTS, Shri Anurag Singh affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing nutritional supplement testing facilities in India, aligning to promote clean sports.

Shri Anurag Singh Thakur further underscored India’s aspirations on the global sports stage, emphasizing the nation’s progress and the remarkable achievements of Indian athletes at international events.

Praising NADA’s relentless efforts in promoting clean sports and enforcing anti-doping measures, Shri Anurag Singh emphasized the integral role played by NADA in ensuring a fair and transparent sporting environment.

The conference witnessed the launch of “Essential Insights & Facts on Nutritional Supplements,” aimed at providing athletes with valuable information on nutritional standards and safety measures. Additionally, NADA unveiled “The Paris Pinnacle: NADA’s Guide to Ethical Sporting,” offering comprehensive guidelines for athletes preparing for the Paris Olympics 2024.

With participation from esteemed dignitaries, government officials, sports federations, industry stakeholders, and media professionals, the conference reaffirmed India’s commitment to advocating for clean sports and ethical competition on the global stage. As the world converges on Paris for the 2024 Olympics, India stands as a beacon of fair play, integrity, and ethical competition in sports.
