The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially commenced the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate (UG) 2024 on February 9, 2024. Interested candidates can apply for the examination through the official website of NTA NEET at neet.ntaonline.in. The last date to apply is March 9, 2024, as per the information bulletin.
Candidates who have appeared for the Class 12 board examination and have either passed the examination or are awaiting results are eligible to apply for the medical entrance test. However, candidates who have completed Class 12 from Open School or as private candidates are not eligible to appear for NEET UG.
The NEET UG 2024 examination is scheduled to be conducted on May 5, 2024. The duration of the examination is 3 hours and 20 minutes. The test pattern comprises four subjects, each with two sections. Section A consists of 35 questions, while Section B has 15 questions, out of which candidates can choose to attempt any 10 questions.
For candidates belonging to the General/NRI category, the application fee is ₹1700/-. General-EWS/OBC-NCL category candidates need to pay ₹1600/-, while SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender candidates are required to pay ₹1000/-. The application fee must be submitted online.
