On the 1st of February, Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, Minister of State Shri Pankaj Chowdhary, and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan ahead of the presentation of the Union Budget 2023-24.
Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, who has previously served as the Defence Minister of India, has been the Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs since 2019. She is known for her work in the fields of finance and economics and has been a crucial figure in shaping India’s economic policies.
Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad and Shri Pankaj Chowdhary, the two ministers of State, have also made significant contributions to their respective fields and have been instrumental in shaping the policies of the government.
The meeting at Rashtrapati Bhavan is a significant event, as the Union Budget 2023-24 is set to be presented. This budget is expected to be a critical one, as the country continues to navigate the economic challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
