India’s Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, expressed heartfelt greetings on the occasion of the martyrdom day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, a revered Sikh Guru known for his sacrifice and commitment to religious freedom.
In a statement issued today, Gadkari conveyed his sincere respects to Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and emphasized the significance of commemorating the martyrdom day as a tribute to the Guru’s indomitable spirit and devotion to the principles of righteousness.
“Today, we remember and pay our heartfelt homage to Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, who made the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of religious freedom. His teachings and ideals continue to inspire generations, promoting peace, tolerance, and unity,” said Gadkari.
Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Guru of Sikhism, played a pivotal role in defending the rights of religious minorities during a time of religious persecution. His martyrdom is observed annually as a day of reflection and remembrance, emphasizing the values of selflessness, courage, and compassion.
