Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, recently inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of 18 National Highway projects in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. These projects are worth approximately Rs 10,000 crore and are expected to provide better connectivity and improve the transportation infrastructure in the region.
During the inauguration ceremony, Gadkari stated that the government is committed to developing world-class infrastructure across the country, and the construction of these highways will contribute to this goal. He also emphasized that the government is giving priority to improving the transportation network in Uttar Pradesh, as it is a key state in terms of economic and industrial growth.
The National Highway projects that were inaugurated include the 4-lining of the 84-km-long Gorakhpur-Varanasi National Highway, the 4-lining of the 68-km-long Gorakhpur-Parasbigha National Highway, and the 4-lining of the 91-km-long Ghazipur-Saidpur National Highway. Additionally, the foundation stones were laid for projects such as the 51-km-long 4-lining of the Gorakhpur-Sonauli National Highway and the 26-km-long 4-lining of the Gorakhpur-Pharenda National Highway.
The construction of these highways will not only provide better connectivity between different parts of Uttar Pradesh but will also boost trade and commerce in the region. Additionally, the improved transportation infrastructure is expected to create job opportunities for local residents and stimulate economic growth.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, and other state and central government officials. The state government has expressed its gratitude towards the central government for its efforts in developing the infrastructure of Uttar Pradesh.
The inauguration and foundation-laying of these National Highway projects by Nitin Gadkari is a significant step towards developing better transportation infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh. The construction of these highways will contribute to the growth of the region and create job opportunities for local residents.
