Nitin Gadkari Pays Tribute To Former President “R. Venkataraman”.

On the 27th of January, Nitin Gadkari pays a tribute to Former President R. Venkataraman ji on his death anniversary.

R. Venkataraman, also known as R. V., was an Indian politician and statesman who served as the 8th President of India from 1987 to 1992. He was a member of the Indian National Congress party and was a prominent leader in the Indian freedom movement.

Venkataraman was born on 4 December 1910 in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. He completed his early education in Tamil Nadu and later went on to study law at the University of Madras. After completing his education, he worked as a lawyer in the state of Tamil Nadu and also as a teacher.

In the 1930s and 1940s, Venkataraman became actively involved in the Indian freedom movement and was a member of the Indian National Congress party. He was arrested several times for his participation in the movement and spent time in jail during the British Raj.

After India’s independence in 1947, Venkataraman entered politics and was elected to the Indian Parliament as a member of the Indian National Congress party. He held several important positions in the government, including as a Minister of Industry, Minister of Defence, and Minister of Finance.

In 1984, Venkataraman was elected as the Vice-President of India and served in that position until 1987. In 1987, he was elected as the 8th President of India and served in that position until 1992. As President, he was known for his efforts to promote national unity and for his efforts to improve the lives of the poor and marginalized.

After leaving office, Venkataraman continued to be active in public life and was a member of various committees and organizations. He died on 27 January 2009.
