An Indian actor and producer who works predominantly in Malayalam films, Nivin Pauly was born on 11 October 1984. He has received several awards including two Kerala State Film Awards and three Filmfare South awards.
Nivin auditioned for and was cast in one of the main roles in Dileep’s production of Vineeth Sreenivasan’s directorial debut Malarvaadi Arts Club in 2009. After appearing in a number of supporting roles, Nivin got his big break with the lead role in the 2012 romantic film Thattathin Marayathu, which was directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan.
He became well-known and liked for playing “boy next door” archetype roles in the bilingual black-comedy thriller Neram (2013), the sports-drama 1983 (2014), the romantic-comedy Ohm Shanthi Oshaana (2014), and the thriller 7th Day (2014)., The romantic drama Bangalore Days (2014), the comedy road-thriller Oru Vadakkan Selfie (2015), and the coming-of-age romantic drama Premam (2015) were all well-received by critics., and the coming-of-age romantic drama Premam (2015). Among the top 10 highest-grossing Malayalam films is Premam.
Early Life
Nivin was born on 11 October 1984 to a Suriyani Nasrani Catholic family in Aluva, Ernakulam. Nivin’s father, Pauly Bonaventure, and his mother, Thressiamma Pauly, worked in Aarau, Switzerland. Nivin was brought up in Kerala.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT) in Angamaly in 2006.
Nivin was employed as a software engineer at Infosys in Bangalore through campus placements from 2006 to 2008. He resigned and returned home after his father’s death; however, it is unclear what he plans to do next.
