The National Testing Agency (NTA) recently announced a change in the examination schedule for the JEE Main April session. Originally scheduled from April 4 to 15, the exam will now take place from April 4 to 9.

According to the latest update from NTA, exam cities and dates were released on Thursday, along with the revised exam schedule. Admit cards will be issued three days before the examination, providing candidates with information about their examination center and shift.

The JEE Main examination for BE-B.Tech will be conducted on April 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9, with two shifts each day. The first shift will run from 9 am to 12 noon, followed by the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.

In total, there will be 10 shifts for BE-B.Tech over five days. Additionally, the examination for B.Arch will take place on April 12, in the morning shift. It’s important to note that there will be no changes in the examination schedule due to the Lok Sabha elections.

Candidates appearing for the JEE Main exam are required to adhere to a specific dress code. Light-colored clothes without heavy pockets are mandatory, with candidates advised to dress appropriately for the weather conditions. However, wearing decent attire is compulsory.

Certain items such as hats, shawls, scarves, jewelry, and metal objects are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Additionally, accessories like chains, rings, glasses, watches, and clothes with large buttons are not permitted. However, candidates are allowed to wear sandals during the examination.
