Born on September 28th, 1976, Pankaj Tripathi is an Indian actor who has mostly worked in Hindi cinema but has also appeared in a Telugu and Tamil language film. He has worked in more than 60 films and many television shows, establishing himself as one of the finest actors in Hindi cinema. Tripathi has won several awards including a National Film Award, a Filmfare Award, a Screen Award, and an IIFA Award.
Tripathi was born in Gopalganj, Bihar, but he became more interested in art while he was doing his higher studies in Patna. He started visiting various drama shows and eventually started acting in them. His performance in a local play in 1995 was highly appreciated by both the audience and the media. He became a regular theatre artist from thereon.
In 2001 he enrolled in the National School of Drama, from where he graduated, and in 2004 moved to Mumbai. Abhishek Bachchan starred in the film Run (2004) with an uncredited role from Tripathi. He did several small roles in films such as Apaharan (2005), Dharm (2007), Raavan (2010), Agneepath (2012), and some television series including Powder.
