Piyush Goyal, the Minister of Railways and Commerce, expressed his deep sadness at the news of the passing of BJP MP Girish Bapat from Pune. In a statement released on his official Twitter account, Goyal praised Bapat for his long and distinguished political career, as well as his contributions to the empowerment of the BJP in Maharashtra.
Girish Bapat was a prominent figure in Maharashtra politics and had served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for several terms before being elected to the Lok Sabha in 2019. He was known for his active involvement in public service and his dedication to the people of Pune.
