London – In a significant development aimed at bolstering the trade and economic partnership between India and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member nations, Piyush Goyal, India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, held a productive meeting with the Swiss State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Helene Budliger Artieda.
The meeting took place in London and focused on exploring avenues to further enhance the trade relationship between India and the EFTA member nations. Piyush Goyal, known for his efforts in promoting international trade and investment, engaged in detailed deliberations with Ms. Helene Budliger Artieda on strengthening economic cooperation and expanding bilateral trade opportunities.
As both India and the EFTA member nations share a commitment to fostering inclusive and sustainable economic growth, the meeting provided a platform to discuss ways to give greater impetus to this collaboration. Piyush Goyal and Ms. Helene Budliger Artieda explored various measures and strategies to deepen economic ties, facilitate trade facilitation, and promote investments between the two sides.
India’s dynamic and diverse economy presents numerous opportunities for increased trade and investment with the EFTA member nations, comprising Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland, and Norway.
