On April 27, 2023, a group of state police personnel were ambushed by Naxalite rebels in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. According to reports, at least 10 police personnel were killed in the attack, while several others sustained injuries. The incident has once again highlighted the persistent threat of Naxalism in many parts of the country, especially in the so-called “red corridor” areas.
