On 24th December PM Modi Addresses the 75th Amrut Mahotsav of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Rajkot Sansthan.
Modi said, “Rajkot Gurukul is completing 75 years with the blessings of Pujya Shastri Maharaj ji, I heartily congratulate all of you on this journey of 75 years to Rajkot Gurukul”.
He said, “A new consciousness is communicated only by remembering the name of Lord Shree Swami Narayan, and today, remembering the name of Swami Narayan in the company of all of you saints is a very fortunate opportunity, I believe that the coming future of this historical institution will be even more successful”.
PM Modi noted the coincidence of the auspicious event taking place during Amrit Kaal. The Prime Minister termed it a happy occasion as Indian tradition has been energized by such coincidences throughout history.
The Prime Minister recounted these confluences in history for example confluences of duty and hard work, culture and dedication, spirituality and modernity.
After independence, the Prime Minister lamented the neglect of education and the failure to revive the ancient Indian education system. The Prime Minister said that when earlier governments faltered, national saints and Acharyas took up the challenge.
Modi said that Swaminarayan Gurukul is a live example of this ‘Suyog’. The institution was developed on the foundation of the ideals of the freedom movement.

Today, Gurukul Vidya Pratishthanam has forty branches worldwide and attracts thousands of students from all over the world. This success began with only seven students in Rajkot. “Gurukul has grown the minds and hearts of the students with good thinking and values in the last 75 years,” he further added, “so that their overall development can be done.
He said Today the country is moving with a vision of a Digital India, an Aatmnirbhar Bharat, a Vocal for Local, 75 Amrit Sarovar in every district, and an Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. ’The impact of social transformation and social reform projects will be felt by millions of people.
The Prime Minister urged the students of Gurukul to travel to Northeast India for a minimum of 15 days to connect with the people and further strengthen the nation.
He also discussed topics like Beti Bachao and environment protection and urged people to come together to strengthen Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
The Prime Minister concluded by saying that institutions like Swaminarayan Gurukul Vidya Pratishthanam will continue to give strength to this journey of India’s resolutions.
