Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed his appreciation to President Rumen Radev of Bulgaria in response to the successful rescue operation conducted by the Indian Navy. The operation resulted in the safe retrieval of the hijacked Bulgarian ship “Ruen” and its crew, including seven Bulgarian citizens.
In a message shared on social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi expressed satisfaction that the seven Bulgarian nationals are unharmed and will soon reunite with their families. He reiterated India’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding freedom of navigation and combating piracy and terrorism in the Indian Ocean region.
The Prime Minister’s response underscores India’s proactive stance in ensuring maritime security and upholding international norms. The successful rescue operation highlights the Indian Navy’s capabilities in addressing maritime threats and its role as a key contributor to regional stability.
