The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has lauded Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) for achieving a new milestone in its production capacity. In January 2023, SAIL recorded the highest monthly production of Hot Metal, Crude Steel, and Saleable Steel in the company’s history.
Shri Narendra Modi took to Twitter to extend his congratulations to the employees and management of SAIL. He stated that the record-breaking production figures are a testament to the dedication and hard work of the employees and are a reflection of the robust policies put in place by the government to support the Indian steel industry.
The government has been working towards creating a favorable environment for the steel sector, and the recent success of SAIL serves as a great example of the progress that can be achieved through such efforts.
SAIL has been at the forefront of the Indian steel industry for over six decades and has played a vital role in the growth and development of the country. The company’s production facilities are spread across five states in India and employ over 80,000 people.
The Prime Minister’s recognition of SAIL’s achievements is a great motivation for the company to continue working towards creating a stronger and more self-sufficient Indian steel industry. The success of SAIL is also a positive sign for the entire country, as it demonstrates that with the right policies and support, Indian companies can reach new heights and contribute to the overall development of the country
