New Delhi, August 15, 2023 – The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, extended his heartfelt gratitude to various world leaders who conveyed their warm greetings and wishes on the occasion of India’s 77th Independence Day. In response to a tweet from President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih of the Republic of Maldives, Prime Minister Modi expressed his gratitude, stating, “Thank you for the Independence Day greetings, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.” The exchange showcased the strong connections between the 2 neighboring nations and their shared commitment to regional cooperation and development.
Similarly, Prime Minister Modi responded to a message from Prime Minister Dr. Lotay Tshering of Bhutan, conveying his gratitude by saying, “Gratitude for the wishes on our Independence Day, PM Bhutan Dr. Lotay Tshering.” This exchange underscored the close and enduring friendship between India and Bhutan, characterized by mutual respect and cooperation.
Responding to warm wishes from the Prime Minister’s Office of Nepal, Prime Minister Modi expressed his appreciation, saying, “Thank you, PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, for your warm wishes.” This exchange highlighted the strong cultural and historical ties between the two nations and the shared aspiration for regional stability and progress.
Acknowledging the message from President Emmanuel Macron of France, Prime Minister Modi conveyed his gratitude, stating, “Thankful for your kind wishes, President Emmanuel Macron. I fondly recall my visit to Paris and appreciate your passion towards boosting India-France ties.” This exchange reflected the commitment of both leaders to strengthening bilateral cooperation across various domains, including trade, security, and culture.
Lastly, Prime Minister Modi responded to greetings from Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth of Mauritius, expressing his thanks by saying, “Thank you, Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, for your heartfelt greetings.”
The Prime Minister’s responses to these messages not only showcased his gratitude for the warm wishes but also emphasized the significance of international partnerships in fostering global peace, stability, and development.
