PM Modi Extends Birthday Wishes to Veteran Leader L.K. Advani at His Residence

PM Modi paid a visit to the residence of Lal Krishna Advani to extend heartfelt birthday wishes to the veteran political stalwart. Advani, born on November 8, 1927, holds a significant place in India’s political landscape, having played pivotal roles in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and in national governance.

Lal Krishna Advani, a co-founder and senior leader of the BJP, served as the 7th Deputy Prime Minister of India, PM Modi from 2002 to 2004. His contributions have been instrumental in shaping the trajectory of the BJP and the country’s political landscape.

“A long-time member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a volunteer organization, Advani’s political journey began with his association with the RSS. Alongside Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he is recognized for the BJP’s remarkable growth from a mere 2 seats in 1984 to a substantial 182 seats in 1998”.

“Advani’s notable tenure includes being the longest-serving Minister of Home Affairs in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance government, his role as the Leader of the Opposition in the 10th and 14th Lok Sabha, and his significant position as the prime ministerial candidate of the BJP in 2009”.

His remarkable contributions and leadership have been acknowledged by the nation, and in 2015, he was honored with the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian award, in recognition of his exceptional service and commitment to the nation.
