Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, continuing his commitment to bolstering the development landscape of Telangana, unveiled a slew of transformative projects worth more than Rs 6,800 crores in Sangareddy today. The initiatives, spanning across crucial sectors including roadways, railways, petroleum, aviation, and natural gas, mark a significant stride towards enhancing connectivity, sustainability, and economic prosperity in the region.
Addressing the gathered audience, Prime Minister Modi reiterated the Central government’s unwavering dedication to supporting Telangana’s progress. He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in fostering nationwide development and hailed Telangana’s pivotal role as a gateway to South India. With a strong belief in the principle of “Rashtra Vikas through Vikas of the states,” the Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to serving Telangana with zeal and efficiency.
A major highlight of the event was the inauguration of the Civil Aviation Research Organization (CARO) center at Hyderabad’s Begumpet Airport. Prime Minister Modi described this pioneering facility as a significant boon for Telangana’s aviation sector, providing a platform for research and development that would elevate the state’s standing in the field. The center, envisaged to foster innovation and indigenous solutions, is poised to propel India’s aviation industry to new heights.
Underscoring the indispensable role of modern infrastructure in nation-building, Prime Minister Modi underscored the allocation of Rs 11 lakh crore in the recent budget towards infrastructure development. Projects like the Kandi to Ramsanpalle section of NH-161 and the Miryalaguda to Kodad Section of NH-167 are set to enhance transport links between Telangana and neighboring states, facilitating smoother movement of goods and passengers while stimulating economic growth.
Railway infrastructure also received a significant boost with the doubling and electrification of the Sanathnagar – Moula Ali route, accompanied by the inauguration of six new station buildings. The commencement of the MMTS Train Service from Ghatkesar to Lingampalli via Moula Ali and Sanathnagar further expands Hyderabad’s suburban rail network, enhancing connectivity and accessibility for commuters across the city.
In the realm of energy, the inauguration of the Indian Oil Paradip-Hyderabad Product Pipeline marks a milestone towards efficient and sustainable transportation of petroleum products. This vital infrastructure project is poised to fuel Telangana’s development trajectory while ensuring environmental responsibility.
The event witnessed the presence of dignitaries including Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana, and Union Minister, Shri G Kishan Reddy, among others, underscoring the collaborative efforts between the Central and State governments in driving progress.
