PM Modi Launches ₹26,000 Cr Projects in Rajasthan

In a significant stride toward India’s vision of inclusive and rapid development, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated, laid the foundation stone, and dedicated to the nation multiple developmental projects worth ₹26,000 crore in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens across 18 states and union territories, joined both physically and virtually, marking a landmark moment in India’s growth journey.

A Historic Address in Bikaner

Beginning his speech with reverence, Prime Minister Modi shared that he had taken the blessings of Karni Mata before attending the event—symbolizing spiritual strength behind the developmental momentum. He congratulated the people for the slew of transformative projects being launched, expressing confidence in India’s accelerated march towards becoming a developed nation.

Shri Modi emphasized India’s massive leap in infrastructure development, highlighting a six-fold increase in investment compared to pre-2014 levels. From iconic bridges like Chenab and Pamban to tunnels like Sela and expressways crisscrossing the country, the Prime Minister detailed how modern infrastructure is no longer just a vision but a living reality.

Transforming Indian Railways: A Symbol of Progress

A highlight of the event was the inauguration of 103 redeveloped Amrit Bharat Railway Stations across 86 districts. These state-of-the-art stations, built with regional architectural elements, are part of the government’s mission to blend modern amenities with India’s rich cultural heritage.

Examples such as:

  • Deshnoke Station (Rajasthan), designed with temple architecture,
  • Thawe Station (Bihar), showcasing Madhubani art and Maa Thawewali’s legacy,
  • Srirangam Station (Tamil Nadu), inspired by the famed Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple,

…stand as testimony to India’s fusion of development and tradition.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat, and Namo Bharat trains as key components of a rejuvenated railway system, currently running on nearly 70 routes nationwide. Over 34,000 km of new rail tracks, elimination of all unmanned crossings on broad gauge, and dedicated freight corridors were noted as achievements transforming rail safety and efficiency.

Massive Boost to Road, Power, and Water Infrastructure

To strengthen connectivity in Rajasthan and beyond, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for multiple road infrastructure projects worth ₹4,850 crore, including the construction of vehicle underpasses and highway expansion projects reaching up to the Indo-Pak border.

In the power sector, several solar and transmission projects were launched, aimed at enhancing clean energy capacity in the state. Projects in Bikaner, Didwana-Kuchaman, Neemuch, and Udaipur will boost Rajasthan’s role as a renewable energy leader and help cut carbon emissions.

Water infrastructure also saw significant attention. The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for:

  • Fluorosis Mitigation Projects in Jhunjhunu
  • Urban Water Supply Schemes in 7 towns of Pali District under AMRUT 2.0

Focus on Rajasthan: Investment, Industry & Employment

Highlighting the state’s central role in India’s progress, PM Modi revealed that Rajasthan had received over ₹70,000 crore in road projects over the past 11 years and is set to receive ₹10,000 crore for railway development this year alone. A new train from Bikaner to Mumbai was also flagged off.

The Prime Minister praised the industrial policies of the Rajasthan government under CM Bhajanlal Sharma, noting their potential to make regions like Bikaner industrial hubs. Products like Bikaneri Bhujia and Bikaneri Rasgullas are poised to gain global recognition, thanks to targeted efforts in food processing and export promotion.

He emphasized the strategic significance of mega-connectivity projects like the Amritsar–Jamnagar Economic Corridor and the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway, both set to catalyze industrial and trade growth across Rajasthan.

Strengthening Health and Education Infrastructure

Healthcare infrastructure also received a boost with the inauguration of Nursing Colleges in Rajsamand, Pratapgarh, Bhilwara, and Dholpur, set to improve access to medical education and strengthen the state’s health system.

Operation Sindoor: A Message of National Resolve

In a powerful segment of his speech, PM Modi addressed the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. He described India’s resolute and swift military response — Operation Sindoor, conducted within 22 minutes — as a defining moment in India’s fight against terrorism.

He outlined three principles forged through Operation Sindoor:

  1. Decisive retaliation against any terrorist act on India.
  2. No fear of nuclear blackmail.
  3. No distinction between terrorist groups and supporting states.

The Prime Minister warned Pakistan that exporting terrorism would now carry severe economic and military consequences. He highlighted the shutdown of Pakistan’s Rahim Yar Khan Airbase and reiterated India’s new diplomatic stance: no dialogue except over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Conclusion: A Vision of Balanced and Inclusive Growth

Summing up, PM Modi reaffirmed that the government’s infrastructure push isn’t merely about concrete and steel—it’s about uplifting every citizen, generating employment, attracting investment, and strengthening national security.

He closed his address by quoting his earlier vow:

“By this sacred soil, I vow — the nation shall never fall, never kneel.”

From the land of valor, he called upon citizens to remain united in spirit and purpose, committed to building a secure, developed, and prosperous India.
