Delhi: On the 30th of January PM Modi Pays Respect To Gandhi At Rajghat On Martyr’s Day.

On the occasion of Martyr’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Rajghat to pay his tributes to the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Rajghat is a memorial dedicated to the memory of Mahatma Gandhi and is located on the banks of the river Yamuna in New Delhi. The memorial marks the spot where Gandhi was cremated after his assassination in 1948.

PM Modi arrived at the memorial and paid his respects by laying a wreath and offering floral tributes at Gandhi’s samadhi. He also observed a two-minute silence to honor the great leader’s contribution to the independence movement and his philosophy of non-violence.

Martyr’s Day, also known as Shaheed Diwas, is observed every year on January 30 to commemorate the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi in 1948.
