Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi held a significant telephone conversation with the President of Ukraine, H.E. Mr. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on March 20th, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the bilateral partnership between India and Ukraine across various spheres.
During the discussion, both leaders deliberated on ways to further enhance cooperation between the two nations, emphasizing mutual interests and shared values. They explored avenues for collaboration in areas such as trade, investment, technology, and cultural exchange to deepen the bond between India and Ukraine.
Amidst the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s commitment to a people-centric approach, advocating for dialogue and diplomacy as the preferred means to achieve a peaceful resolution. He affirmed India’s support for all efforts aimed at resolving the conflict swiftly and amicably.
Highlighting India’s steadfast commitment to peace and stability, Prime Minister Modi assured President Zelenskyy of India’s continued support towards a peaceful solution to the crisis. He reiterated India’s willingness to contribute constructively to international efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and promoting dialogue between the conflicting parties.
President Zelenskyy expressed appreciation for India’s unwavering humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine during these challenging times. He conveyed gratitude for India’s solidarity and support, underscoring the importance of bilateral cooperation in addressing global challenges.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular communication and cooperation, underscoring the significance of bilateral ties between India and Ukraine. They agreed to continue working closely to strengthen the partnership and advance common goals for the prosperity and well-being of their respective peoples.
