PM Modi’s Busy Day: Maharashtra Temple Visit, Infrastructure Inaugurations, and Goa’s National Games

PM in Maharashtra:

1. Shirdi Temple Visit: The day in Maharashtra begins with Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the famous Shri Saibaba Samadhi Temple in Shirdi, Ahmednagar District. During this visit, he will perform pooja and darshan at the temple, a significant pilgrimage site for devotees. Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the new Darshan Queue Complex at the temple, providing state-of-the-art facilities for the comfort of devotees. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing the pilgrimage experience and promoting cultural and religious heritage.

2. Infrastructure Inaugurations: The Prime Minister’s visit includes inaugurating crucial infrastructure projects, such as the left bank canal network of the Nilwande Dam. This canal network, spanning 85 kilometers, will bring water to 182 villages across multiple Tehsils, benefiting a substantial population. The Nilwande Dam project, with its roots dating back to 1970, is a testament to long-term development planning and investment in vital resources.

3. Public Programme: A major highlight of the day in Maharashtra is a public program in Shirdi, where Prime Minister Modi will unveil and dedicate several development projects. These projects encompass various sectors, including health, rail, road, and oil and gas, with an estimated worth of approximately Rs 7500 crore. One of the noteworthy initiatives to be launched is the ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana,’ designed to benefit more than 86 lakh beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in Maharashtra, providing them with an additional annual grant of Rs 6000.

PM in Goa:

1. National Games Inauguration: Shifting his focus to Goa, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the 37th National Games, held for the first time in the state. These games, being hosted in Goa, mark a significant step in the promotion of sports culture in India. With more than 10,000 athletes participating across 43 sports disciplines in 28 venues, the National Games hold immense importance in recognizing and nurturing sporting talent in the country.

2. Athlete Interaction: The Prime Minister will address the athletes participating in the National Games, acknowledging their dedication and efforts. Under his leadership, India’s sports culture has seen significant growth and recognition at the international level.
