In a testament to the government’s dedication to agricultural development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently connected with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra via video conferencing. The event, attended by thousands of participants from diverse backgrounds, provided a platform for the Prime Minister to address and engage with individuals who have witnessed transformative changes in their lives.
“One notable interaction was with Shri Harikrishan, a farmer from Thiruvallur, who received a warm greeting of ‘Vanakkam’ from the Prime Minister. Harikrishan’s journey is emblematic of the positive impact of government initiatives and the integration of modern agricultural practices”.
Prime Minister Modi lauded Harikrishan for choosing farming despite having a solid educational background, demonstrating the potential for synergy between education and agriculture. Harikrishan, a beneficiary of various farmer welfare schemes and the Ayushman Bharat Yojana expressed his appreciation for the government’s innovative measures, including the introduction of Nano Urea. He also showcased the use of drones and other modern techniques in his farming practices.
“Highlighting the success story of Harikrishan, the Prime Minister Modi affirmed, “The government is always standing with you.” This sentiment reinforces the commitment to supporting farmers who embrace modern methods for increased efficiency and sustainability”.
The event, attended by Union Ministers, Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assemblies, and local representatives, underscored the collaborative effort required for the success of initiatives like Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. It served as a platform to celebrate the achievements of individuals like Harikrishan, who embody the spirit of innovation and progress in Indian agriculture.
