New Delhi : Veteran politician Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav passed away after a long and successful career in politics. He was widely respected and loved by the people for his dedication to his work and his strong principles.
Shri Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, paid tribute to him, saying that he had always served the people diligently and with utmost dedication. He remarked that Shri Yadav was a true champion of the ideals of Loknayak JP and Dr. Lohia, and had worked tirelessly for the betterment of India.
The Prime Minister recalled the time when Shri Yadav was the Defence Minister of India. He said that during that time, Shri Yadav had worked tirelessly to make India a stronger and more prosperous nation. He added that he was always keen to hear Shri Yadav’s views on various issues, and that he would be greatly missed.
The Prime Minister tweeted in a series of tweets.
Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji was a great leader and an even better friend. We served as Chief Ministers of our respective states for many years, and during that time, I had the privilege of getting to know him very well. He was always willing to share his wisdom and offer his insights, and I always looked forward to hearing his views.
His death has left a huge hole in our community, and I know that lakhs of his supporters are grieving right now. I offer my condolences to his family and loved ones, and pray that they find the strength to get through this difficult time. Om Shanti.
Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji was a key player in the democracy movement during the Emergency. He worked for a stronger India as Defence Minister. He emphasized national interest in his insightful Parliamentary interventions. He was a highly respected leader in both UP and national politics. Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji was known for his integrity and commitment to the people.
Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji was an amazing person. As a leader, he was widely admired for being humble and grounded, and he was sensitive to people’s problems. He diligently served people and devoted his life towards popularising the ideals of Loknayak JP and Dr. Lohia.
