  • Marketing Support: The scheme aims to provide marketing support to artisans and craftspeople, expanding their reach.

Empowering Artisans Across India:

PM Vishwakarma will offer support to artisans and craftspeople in both rural and urban areas across India. The scheme covers eighteen traditional crafts, including carpentry, boat making, blacksmithing, goldsmithing, pottery, sculpture, and more. It seeks to strengthen the Guru-Shishya parampara (mentor-disciple tradition) and integrate artisans into domestic and global value chains.

The launch of the “PM Vishwakarma” scheme reflects the government’s dedication to preserving traditional crafts and empowering artisans across India. This initiative is poised to not only provide financial assistance but also ensure the quality and global reach of products and services crafted by skilled artisans, thus preserving India’s rich cultural heritage.
