PM Praises Achievement Of 11 Crore Tap Water Connections Under “Jal Jeevan Mission”.

On the 25th of January Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, 11 Crore tap water connections have been achieved, for which the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has given his praise. Modi also congratulates all those who have benefitted from this initiative and complimented those working on the ground to make this Mission a success.

After Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, tweeted, the Prime Minister tweeted in response.

“A great accomplishment, indicating the ground covered to ensure ‘Har Ghar Jal’ to the people of India. Congratulations to all those who are benefiting from this initiative and those working at the grassroots level to make this mission a success”.

The Jal Jeevan Mission, launched in 2019, aims to provide tap water connections to every rural household in the country by 2024. The mission has made significant progress in the past two years, with over 11 crore tap water connections being provided to households in rural areas.

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of clean and safe drinking water for the health and well-being of the people. He also emphasized the need for sustainable water management practices to ensure the availability of water for future generations.

The achievement of 11 crore tap water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission is a major milestone in the government’s efforts to provide clean and safe drinking water to all citizens.
