In a strongly-worded statement, Rishi Sunak, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, condemned the recent terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas against Israeli citizens.
Shocking Attacks by Hamas
Expressing his dismay, Sunak stated, “I am shocked by this morning’s attacks by Hamas terrorists against Israeli citizens.” The attacks, which have taken a toll on innocent lives, have drawn international attention and condemnation.
Israel’s Absolute Right to Defend Itself
Sunak underscored the importance of Israel’s right to self-defense. He emphasized, “Israel has an absolute right to defend itself.” This right to protect its citizens and territory is fundamental in international law and is recognized by many nations.
