Yadgiri(Karnataka): PM Addresses At The Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony Of Development Projects In Yadgiri. Yadgir holds a rich history. The ancient fort of Rattihalli is a symbol of our past, the strength of our forefathers. Many parts, many places related to our traditions, our culture, and our heritage are present in our region.
He said, “Here is the heritage of that Surapur princely state, which was made famous in the country by the great king Venkatappa Nayaka through his Swaraj and good governance. We are all proud of this heritage”.
Modi said, “Today I have come to hand over projects worth thousands of crores related to the development of Karnataka to you and start new projects. Right now, the foundation stones and inaugurations of many big projects related to water and roads have taken place here”.
“Lakhs of farmers of Yadgir, Kalburgi, and Vijaypur districts are going to be directly benefited from the expansion and modernization of the Narayanpur Left Bank Canal. Yadgir Village Multi Water Supply Scheme is also going to provide clean drinking water to lakhs of families in the district”.
Friends, Work has started today on the part of the Surat-Chennai Economic Corridor which falls in Karnataka. Due to this, the Ease of Living will also increase in the entire region including Yadgir, Raichur, and Kalaburagi, and the enterprises and employment here will also get a lot of boosts.
“Many congratulations to all the people of Yadgir, Karnataka for all these projects of development. I congratulate Bommai ji and also his entire team. The commendable speed at which work is being done for the development of North Karnataka is to be commended”.
Friends, India has completed 75 years of independence. The country is now moving forward to fulfill new resolutions for the next 25 years. Every person in the country and every state experiences Amrit Kaal for 25 years. We have to build a developed India in this era.
“This campaign can only be successful if every citizen of India, every family, and every state participates. India can develop when, whether it is a farmer working in the fields or a laborer working in industries, everyone’s life is better. India can develop only when the crops in the fields are good and factories also expand”.
He said, “When it was time to invest in infrastructure like roads, electricity, and water, the parties that were in government at that time promoted vote bank politics. How to make the vote of this caste, that opinion-religion a sure vote, every plan, every program was tied within this scope. Karnataka has suffered a huge loss due to this, our entire region has suffered this, and all of you my brothers and sisters have suffered”.
Friends, Our government’s priority is not voting bank, our priority is development, development, and development. You all blessed me in 2014 and entrusted me with a huge responsibility. I know that as long as even a single district of the country remains backward on the scale of development, the country cannot develop.
Modi said, Therefore, we encouraged the aspiration of development in those districts which were declared backward by the previous government. Our government started the Aspirational Districts Program in more than 100 such districts of the country including Yadgir.
“We laid emphasis on good governance in these districts. Started work on every scale of development. All the aspirational districts including Yadgir have also got their benefit. See today, Yadgir has shown 100 percent vaccination of children. There has been a significant reduction in the number of malnourished children in the Yadgir district. A hundred percent of villages here have been connected by roads”.
He said Gram Panchayats have Common Service Centers to provide digital services. Be it education, health, or connectivity, Yadgir district’s performance in every way has been in the top 10 aspirational districts.
“And for this, I congratulate the people’s representatives of Yadgir district and the team of the district administration on my behalf. Today new industries are coming up in the Yadgir district. The Central Government has also given approval for a Pharma Park here”.
