Born on 23 September 1935, Prem Chopra is an Indian actor in Hindi and Punjabi films. He has acted in 380 films over 60 years. Despite being a villain in most films, he has a soft-spoken diction. With him as the antagonist and Rajesh Khanna in the lead role, his 19 films remain popular with audiences and critics.
Early life:
Chopra, the third child of six of Ranbir Lal and Rooprani Chopra, a Punjabi Hindu family, was born on 23 September 1935, in Lahore. After the partition of India, his family moved to Shimla, where he was brought up. M. college He studied at S.D.M. college. Shimla’s Senior Secondary School. His father wanted him to become a doctor or an Indian Administrative Services Officer.
After his father, who was a government servant, got transferred to Shimla, Chopra completed his schooling and college there. He attended Panjab University and received a degree. He took part in college dramatics with great excitement. He completed his graduation at his father’s insistence and then went to Bombay (present-day Mumbai).
