Prem Singh Tamang, also known as Golay, expressed heartfelt condolences on the untimely demise of Smt. Rajeshwariben Shah, sister of Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. The announcement followed the sad news of Rajeshwariben’s passing at a Mumbai hospital, where she was undergoing treatment for a prolonged illness. In his statement, Golay conveyed deep sympathy and prayed for strength for the bereaved family and friends to cope with this irreparable loss.
Rajeshwariben, in her mid-60s, had been unwell for some time before succumbing to her ailment during treatment. The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, immediately canceled all his scheduled programs for the day upon learning of his sister’s demise. The mortal remains of Rajeshwariben were brought to her residence in Ahmedabad, marking the beginning of the mourning period.
Amit Shah had been in Ahmedabad since Sunday, celebrating the festival of Makar Sankranti with BJP supporters. The unexpected loss of his sister cast a shadow over the festivities, prompting the Home Minister to return to Ahmedabad to be with his grieving family. The nation mourns alongside the Shah family during this difficult time, remembering Rajeshwariben Shah’s contributions and offering support in their moment of sorrow.
