Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, the former Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry has expressed her gratitude to the Hon’ble President of India, Prime Minister, and Home Minister for entrusting her with the opportunity to serve the people of Telangana and Puducherry. She acknowledged the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose guidance she followed during her tenure.
In a statement, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan conveyed special appreciation to the residents of Telangana and Puducherry, addressing them as brothers, sisters, mothers, and elders, for their unwavering love and support throughout her tenure.
The President of India has officially accepted Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan’s resignation from the position of Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. To ensure the smooth functioning of governance in these regions, the President has appointed C. P. Radhakrishnan, the Governor of Jharkhand, to discharge the duties of both offices temporarily, in addition to his existing responsibilities.
This appointment will take effect from the date C. P. Radhakrishnan assumes charge of his office. As the transition occurs, it is expected that the administration will continue to operate seamlessly, fulfilling the needs and aspirations of the people of Telangana and Puducherry.
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan’s tenure as Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry is marked by her commitment to serving the public and advancing the development agenda set forth by the central leadership. As she steps down from her position, she leaves behind a legacy of dedication and service, earning the appreciation and respect of the people she served.
