On the 4th of March President Droupadi Murmu addressed the audience at the presentation of the Swachh Sujal Shakti Samman 2023 at Vigyan Bhavan. The Swachh Sujal Shakti Samman is an annual award that recognizes and encourages best practices in the field of water conservation, sanitation, and hygiene. The award aims to promote water sustainability, cleanliness, and hygiene across the country.
President Murmu emphasized the importance of water conservation and the need for collective efforts to ensure that everyone has access to clean and safe water. She stated that water is a precious resource that we cannot afford to waste and that we must all take responsibility for its conservation.
President Murmu also highlighted the government’s efforts towards water conservation and management, such as the Jal Shakti Abhiyan, which aims to create awareness about water conservation, and the Har Ghar Jal program, which aims to provide piped water supply to all households by 2024. She urged everyone to support these initiatives and work towards a water-secure future for all.
In addition to water conservation, President Murmu also emphasized the need for proper sanitation and hygiene practices. She emphasized that access to clean water and proper sanitation is a basic human right and that we must work towards ensuring that everyone has access to these essential services.
The Swachh Sujal Shakti Samman is an important initiative that recognizes and promotes best practices in the field of water conservation, sanitation, and hygiene. It encourages individuals and organizations to work towards a sustainable future by promoting water conservation, cleanliness, and hygiene. President Murmu’s address at the award ceremony highlighted the importance of these efforts and urged everyone to work towards a water-secure future for all.
