In Lucknow today (February 13, 2023), Smt Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, addresses the 10th convocation of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University.
The President also emphasized the need for students to develop a social and nationalistic outlook. She said that the education received in universities should be such that it inculcates values of social responsibility and national spirit in students. Students should be sensitive to the needs of society and work towards the welfare of all. They should contribute their best to the development of the country and society.
The President also spoke about the importance of digital education in today’s world. She said that the world is moving rapidly toward digitalization and the students should prepare themselves accordingly. They should acquire the latest digital skills and use them for the betterment of society. Digital education has the potential to reach every nook and corner of the country and provide education to people who are otherwise unable to access it.
The President said that universities play a crucial role in the development of a nation. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University is a shining example of how a university can work towards the upliftment of marginalized sections of society.
She hoped that the university would continue to work towards this goal and spread the message of Babasaheb to every corner of the country. She congratulated the graduating students on their achievements and wished them all the best in their future endeavors.
The 10th convocation of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University is a historic moment and the address by the President is a source of inspiration for the students and the university.
The President’s vision for the education system and the role of universities in the development of the nation was well received by the students and the faculty. With her guidance, the students of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University are set to make a significant contribution to the development of the country.
