Amidst grandeur and prestige, President Droupadi Murmu bestowed the distinguished Padma Awards for the year 2024 at the Civil Investiture Ceremony-II, held in the majestic Darbar Hall of Rashtrapati Bhawan. The ceremony witnessed the presentation of 2 Padma Vibhushan, 9 Padma Bhushan, and 56 Padma Shri Awards to exemplary individuals from various fields.
Attended by Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister, and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, along with numerous Union Ministers and dignitaries, the event celebrated the outstanding contributions of the Padma Awardees to society.
Following the investiture ceremony, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah hosted a dinner at his residence in New Delhi, where the Padma Awardees had the opportunity to interact with him and other Union Ministers.
Tomorrow morning, the Padma Awardees will pay homage at the National War Memorial, honoring the sacrifices of our brave soldiers. They will also visit Rashtrapati Bhawan and the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, further enriching their experience and connecting with the nation’s heritage and history.
The Civil Investiture Ceremony-II at Rashtrapati Bhawan served as a testament to the nation’s appreciation and recognition of exceptional individuals who have made significant contributions to various fields, inspiring generations and embodying the spirit of excellence.
