On the 7th of March At Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Droupadi Murmu was recently greeted with Holi wishes from students and children of various schools and organizations. The occasion was marked by a joyous celebration of colours and the spirit of togetherness.
One of the most popular festivals celebrated in India is Holi, the festival of colours. It is a time when people come together to smear each other with coloured powder and water and exchange greetings and sweets. The festival has a special significance in Hindu mythology, as it marks the victory of good over evil.
The President’s reception of Holi greetings from students and children is a testament to the inclusiveness and diversity of India. The children who visited Rashtrapati Bhavan represented various schools and organisations from different parts of the country, and their presence was a reflection of the country’s vibrant and diverse culture.
The President’s interaction with the children was heartwarming and memorable. She greeted them with warmth and affection and accepted their greetings with a smile. The children presented her with colourful bouquets and hand-made cards and sang Holi songs to express their joy and happiness.
The occasion was also an opportunity for the children to learn about the importance of the festival and its significance in Indian culture. The President spoke to them about the values of peace, unity, and harmony that are central to the festival, and encouraged them to celebrate it with joy and enthusiasm.
