President Droupadi Murmu Addresses Students Of The G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology.

On 29th December, “President Droupadi Murmu addressed students of G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science for women; BM Malani Nursing College, and Suman Junior College in Hyderabad. She said that technology should be used as an instrument of social justice.”

She said The role of engineering as a profession becomes very critical in today’s world where unthinkable and unprecedented problems need quick and sustainable solutions.

President said, “The Covid Pandemic has shown that people can adopt and learn new technologies quite fast. The development and administration of Covid vaccines to a large population in a time-bound manner is nothing but a miracle of technology”.

President Droupadi Murmu said, “Technology should be used as an implement of social justice,” Today (December 29, 2022) she was addressing the students and faculty members of G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science for Women, the students of BM Malani Nursing College and Suman Junior College of Mahila Dakshata Samithi in Hyderabad.

President said, “Technology is continuously evolving and impacting every arena. I hope you would come out with innovative technologies for the benefit of the public at large and improve the quality of life of the people”.

She said, “Sometimes women are not able to continue their careers due to domestic constraints and other issues. I urge you all to overcome challenges that come your way and rise in your careers”.

“Technology must be used to remove the social, economic, and digital divides. You are the levers through which we can leap into an inclusive, eco-friendly, smart, and technology–driven future. Technology should be used as an instrument of social justice”.

The President advised students to empower themselves and others. “She said they shouldn’t be content with just their own success and happiness.” They have a duty to the nation and humanity as a whole. Their talent and technological capabilities should be used for the larger good.

The President said that engineers have the power to make the world a better place. The solutions they find should be people-oriented and environment-friendly. At COP 27, India reiterated its vision for a safe planet with the one-word Mantra: LIFE, which stands for Lifestyle for Environment.

We have been meeting and upgrading our climate targets. We are taking new initiatives in renewable energy, such as e-mobility, ethanol-blended fuels, green hydrogen, and others. These initiatives can start producing better results on the ground through technological innovations.
