President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Goa reached its serene conclusion as she offered her respects at the revered Basilica of Bom Jesus, the tranquil Shantadurga Temple, and the sacred Mahalasa Narayani Temple, showcasing her reverence for diverse spiritual traditions.
President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to the picturesque state of Goa culminated in a beautiful display of respect and reverence at some of the region’s most sacred sites. The journey, marked by a deep appreciation for the spiritual diversity that Goa encompasses, saw the President pay homage to the Basilica of Bom Jesus, the Shantadurga Temple, and the Mahalasa Narayani Temple.
“The Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site, stands as a testament to Goa’s colonial history and architectural marvel. President Murmu’s presence within its hallowed halls signifies the significance of interfaith understanding and her regard for the religious heritage that Goa preserves”.
Her participation in the temple’s rituals echoed her respect for the Hindu faith and her willingness to connect with the spiritual essence that binds communities together.
