Shri Karpoori Thakur, affectionately known as ‘Jan-Nayak,’ was a beacon of hope for the disadvantaged sections of society. His tireless advocacy for equality and empowerment earned him widespread respect and admiration.
A freedom fighter at heart, Shri Karpoori Thakur dedicated his life to the service of the people, prioritizing their welfare above all else. His simplicity and selflessness endeared him to the masses, earning him the title of ‘Jan-Nayak’ or the people’s leader.
Accepting the Bharat Ratna on behalf of his late father, Shri Ramnath Thakur expressed gratitude for the recognition of Shri Karpoori Thakur’s enduring legacy and contributions to the nation.
