In a significant diplomatic ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan today (March 27, 2024), President Smt Droupadi Murmu of India accepted credentials from the Ambassadors/High Commissioner of five nations. The ceremony marked an important step towards fostering stronger bilateral relations between India and these countries.
The diplomats who presented their credentials to President Murmu include:
- Ambassador H.E. Mr Josel Francisco Ignacio represents the Republic of the Philippines.
- Ambassador H.E. Mr Sardor Rustambaev serves as the envoy from the Republic of Uzbekistan.
- Ambassador H.E. Mr Mikhail Kasko represents the Republic of Belarus.
- High Commissioner H.E. Mr Peter Maina Munyiri represents the Republic of Kenya.
- Ambassador H.E. Mr Vakhtang Jaoshvili represents Georgia.
The presentation of credentials signifies the formal recognition of these diplomats as representatives of their respective nations in India. It also serves as an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic ties, promote mutual cooperation, and enhance cultural exchanges between India and the nations they represent.
