The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, honored the golden jubilee celebration of Brahma Kumaris in Odisha at Cuttack on March 1, 2024.
In her address, President Murmu lauded the significant contributions of various spiritual and religious institutions in spreading spiritual consciousness across India. She acknowledged Brahma Kumaris’ efforts in disseminating eternal Indian values such as non-violence, peace, harmony, brotherhood, and tolerance, both within the country and globally. She expressed satisfaction at the organization’s endeavors in popularizing yoga and meditation worldwide.
“Emphasizing the prevalent pursuit of material pleasures, President Murmu urged individuals to recognize that true happiness transcends materialistic pursuits. She advocated for the limitation of material desires to attain genuine happiness and fulfillment”.
President Murmu reiterated the significance of Dharma as a way of life and praised Brahma Kumaris for their efforts in enlightening people about their life’s purpose. She commended their role in spreading knowledge and assisting individuals in leading lives filled with peace and harmony, asserting that development can only occur in a peaceful environment.
“Dispelling the misconception that spirituality requires abandoning worldly duties, President Murmu asserted that individuals can find happiness and peace by leading righteous lives and extending assistance to others”.
President Droupadi Murmu applauded Brahma Kumaris for their invaluable contributions to fostering spiritual consciousness and promoting holistic well-being among individuals, thereby contributing to the collective welfare of society.
