Republic Day: In her address on the eve of the 75th Republic Day, President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the recent ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram Temple, describing it as a historic landmark in India’s continuous reconnection with its civilizational heritage. The President commended the temple’s construction following due legal processes and a verdict from the highest court, symbolizing both faith and trust in the judicial system.
President Droupadi Murmu conveyed her heartiest greetings on this momentous occasion, expressing pride in India’s journey despite adversities. The 75th Republic Day, she noted, stands as a historic milestone, reminiscent of the celebration of the nation’s greatness and diverse culture during the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav marking 75 years of Independence.
Reflecting on the Constitution’s commencement, President Droupadi Murmu emphasized the democratic spirit ingrained in India’s ethos, predating the Western concept of democracy. She praised the leaders and officials who devoted nearly three years to framing the Constitution, the bedrock of the nation.
As India embarks on the early years of Amrit Kaal, the period leading to the centenary of Independence, President Droupadi Murmu urged citizens to contribute to the nation’s transformative journey. She appealed to uphold Fundamental Duties enshrined in the Constitution, envisioning a developed Bharat at the centenary of independence. Quoting Mahatma Gandhi, she emphasized the importance of focusing on duties for the nation’s progress.
In essence, President Droupadi Murmu’s address encapsulated the significance of the Ayodhya Ram Temple in India’s cultural resurgence and the nation’s collective responsibility towards building a prosperous future.
