In a poignant tribute to Late Shri NT Rama Rao, President Droupadi Murmu unveiled a commemorative coin during a ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre on August 28, 2023. The event marks the centenary year of the legendary figure, who left an indelible mark on Indian cinema, culture, and politics.

President Droupadi Murmu acknowledged NTR’s profound impact on Indian cinema and culture, particularly through his Telugu films. His portrayal of pivotal characters from the Ramayana and Mahabharata epics breathed life into these narratives, endowing them with a vibrancy that resonated deeply with audiences.
