National Science Day: As India commemorates National Science Day, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi extends heartfelt greetings to the nation, emphasizing the pivotal role of scientific advancement in shaping the country’s future. In a message shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of research, innovation, and technological excellence among the youth.
“Greetings on National Science Day. “Encouraging research and innovation among the youth remains a cornerstone of our administration’s efforts,” Prime Minister Modi emphasized. “This endeavor is crucial in realizing our vision of a developed India,” he added, highlighting the importance of cultivating scientific talent and creating an environment conducive to innovation.
In addition to conveying greetings, Prime Minister Modi also shared a video encapsulating his thoughts on scientific temperament, innovation, and technology. Through the video, he reiterated the importance of cultivating a spirit of curiosity, inquiry, and exploration among the youth, emphasizing that scientific advancements are pivotal in addressing contemporary challenges and driving progress.
The Prime Minister’s message resonates with the government’s steadfast efforts to promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and research across the country. By encouraging the youth to embark on a journey of discovery and innovation, the government aims to harness India’s immense potential as a global leader in science and technology.
National Science Day, celebrated annually on February 28th, commemorates the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman in 1928. The occasion serves as a reminder of India’s rich scientific heritage and the transformative power of scientific inquiry in shaping the nation’s destiny.
